The Hunan Chinese Restaurant is fairly new to Pagosa Springs Colorado, and provides another Chinese restaurant option in the uptown Pagosa area. Chinese food is great for lunch and for take-out, especially for large groups.

Hunan is open 7 days a week from 11am until 9pm. Restaurants that are open 7 days a week in Pagosa are limited. They are located right off of highway 160 in a small strip mall next to Thai Pagosa and Cafe Colorado, which provides an easy spot to stop in and eat or to grab take-out.

Chinese Lunch Buffet

Hunan offers a lunch buffet, which is quite unique for this area, from 11am until 2:30pm. The $10.99 all you can eat buffet is a great price. The buffet offers all of the well known Chinese dishes, including soups, appetizers and main courses.

Something else unique to Hunan is that you can place orders online for take-out. Not many restaurants in Pagosa offer an online ordering option. My Pagosa Springs’ thoughts

It’s great to have another Chinese restaurant in the area, especially one that offers a lunch buffet. Overall the food is decent but not outstanding. In all fairness, with so many choices, we haven’t tried all of the different dishes available. However, it’s a great option for lunch or large group take-out orders. The inside is basic with both booths and tables for dining. In addition to the lunch buffet, Hunan does offer lunch specials, which work out well for take-out. Lunch specials include a choice of soup, an egg roll or dumpling, and steamed or fried rice. The amount of food is plenty for lunch.
