About My Pagosa Springs

Welcome to My Pagosa Springs

Our Story: From Frequent Visitors to Full-Time Locals

Our journey with Pagosa Springs didn’t start with a moving truck; it started with a decade and a half of memories. We first fell in love with these mountains in the late 2000s, owning a getaway here and spending every possible moment soaking in the San Juan National Forest.

A few years ago, we decided to trade the “vacation life” for the “mountain life” permanently. We moved here full-time to finally call this incredible community home.

Why We Created This Space

When we transitioned to living here year-round, we found ourselves on a mission to truly learn the heartbeat of Pagosa. We wanted to know every trailhead, every hidden creek, and every local staple.

MyPagosaSprings.com was born out of that curiosity. What started as a personal project to document our own discoveries quickly grew into a passion for helping others. Whether you are a fellow local looking for a new weekend adventure or a visitor arriving for a much-needed holiday, we wanted to create the resource we wish we had: an easy, welcoming place to learn about everything this area has to offer.

A Focus on the Great Outdoors

Life in Pagosa Springs is meant to be lived outside. For us, moving here was a commitment to staying active and reconnecting with nature. That’s why you’ll find a heavy emphasis on outdoor activities here—from the quiet stillness of a morning hike to the rush of the river. We believe the best way to experience the Southwest is with dirt on your boots and fresh air in your lungs.

Why Trust Us?

In a world of generic travel guides and AI-generated lists, we offer something different: Personal Experience.

  • Two Decades of Perspective: We’ve been coming to Pagosa Springs for nearly 20 years. We’ve seen the town grow and change, and we know its history as well as its future.
  • The Local Advantage: We live, work, and play here 365 days a year. We know which trails are muddy in April and which spots have the best views in October.
  • Vetted by Us: If we recommend a hike, a shop, or an activity, it’s because we’ve been there ourselves. We don’t just curate information; we share our real-life experiences so you can make the most of your time here.
